Loyalist, Ontario
Amherstview is a place in the province of Ontario and is located west of Collins Bay. There live about 6,000 people there and Amherstview is a suburb of Kingston. Amherstview got its name from the island directly south of Lake Ontario in Amherst.
The place is located near the eastern end of the Loyalist Parkway, a stretch of Highway 33, which runs along Lake Ontario. The place is located in an area where many subjects of the United Kingdom settled.
Although Collins Bay is a part of Kingston was when the boundaries of the city on 1 January 1998 have been extended eastward, and westward to the Frontenac County Line, Amherstview is part of an adjacent Countiys - the Loyalist Township, Lennox and Addington County, Ontario.
Amherstview is separated by the Coronation Boulevard of Collins Bay, a small residential street, at its easternmost spread. On the western side there is only limited by the Lennox & Addington County Road. In addition, there is a considerable distance between Bath, the next village that touches this road. In the north of the Taylor - Kidd Boulevard is the limit.
