Ľubomír Moravčík

Lubomir Moravčík ( born June 22, 1965 in Nitra ) is a former Slovak football player and current coach.

Lubomir Moravčík started at Plastika Nitra, according to the 1990 World Cup, he transferred to AS Saint- Étienne. After six years, he went to SC Bastia. 1998 signed him after a brief interlude at MSV Duisburg Celtic, his career he finished, plagued by injury problems, with 37 years in 2002 JEF United Ichihara.

Moravčík considered as the most popular football player in Slovakia. Also at Celtic he was one of the idols of the fans. He was elected Czechoslovak Footballer of the Year in 1992, he was Slovak footballer of the year 2001. Zinedine Zidane described him once as his role model, his strengths were especially his both feet and his dribbling.

Counting the 42 Inserts for Czechoslovakia, is Moravčík with 79 inserts Slovakian most-capped player.

He was coach of the U16 and U17 national team of Slovakia in 2005. He was also president of the MFK Ružomberok and there for two games and coach.
