Production

Lubrizol has more than 12000 products in the range, especially lubricants, additives for fuels and industrial applications as well as other specialty chemicals. In October 2011, Lubrizol held 1,600 patents.

Accident in Rouen

In January 2013 there were Lubrizolwerk in Rouen in France a chemical accident. The gas methanethiol, also called methyl mercaptan, stepped out in a stinking cloud, which extended over more than 350 km in France and to England.
