Lucelle

Lucelle (German: Luetzel ) is a little haven of the Swiss municipality of Pleigne (Canton Jura). It is located on a lake dammed the Luetzel, directly on the border with France.

The origins of the hamlet date back to settlement activities of the former, bilingual Cistercian abbey of La Petite, which is located in the immediate neighborhood, but on the other side of the border, in the French neighboring Lucelle.

The hamlet is located in the southern part of the divided by national borders Lützeler monastery territory. This southern part belonged to the Prince-Bishopric of Basel and came to Switzerland in 1815.
