Lucien Lux

Lucien Lux (* September 13 1956 in Ulflingen ) is a Luxembourgian politician LSAP.

Lucien Lux initially worked on the railroad and in 1978 became secretary of the Trade Union OGB -L. He was first elected to the Luxembourg Parliament as MP for the LSAP 1989. He became general secretary of his party in 2002 and as such was responsible for organizing the elections of 2004 for the LSAP. At the local level he was mayor from 1988 to 2004 in Bettemburg. The mayors and the deputy's mandate, he abdicated when he was appointed to the government Juncker Asselborn I. He had held the office of Environment and Transport Minister from 31 July 2004 to 27 July 2009. From 2009 to 2013 he was again a member of parliament. In the 2013 parliamentary elections, he was not re-elected. Since late 2013 he has been a member of the State Council.

Lucien Lux is married and father of two children.
