Luciobarbus guiraonis

Luciobarbus guiraonis, called in Spain Levante Barbo Barbo or Mediterraneo, is a medium sized barb species that is endemic to the Spanish peninsula.

Description

Luciobarbus guiraonis differs from other species of the genera Barbus and Luciobarbus by 45 to 49 scales along the lateral line series (SL ), the last unbranched fin ray of the dorsal fin is cut for juveniles front, with adult fish ungesägt or the sawing action is only weakly present.
