Lucius Cary, 15th Viscount Falkland

Lucius Edward William Plantagenet Cary, 15th Viscount Falkland ( born May 8, 1935) is a British politician and peer.

Life and career

He is the elder son of Lucius Cary, Viscount Falkland and 14 Constance Mary Berry. He attended Wellington College in Berkshire.

In 1984, he succeeded his father as Viscount Falkland and sat for the Social Democratic Party in the House of Lords, he later joined the Liberal Democrats on. In 1999, when the Law House of Lords Act was introduced in 1999, he was elected to stay as a minister in the House of Lords. Falkland left 2011, the Liberal Democrats and now sits as a cross Bencher in the House of Lords. He is a supporter of the British Humanist Association.

Family

He was married from 1962 to 1990 ( divorced) with Caroline Anne Butler, they had four children:
