Luckower See

The Luckower lake is located northwest of the city Sternberg of the district Ludwigslust - Parchim in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The almost circular lake has an area in the north-south axis of some 700 meters and in the west-east axis of some 1000 meters. In the eastern part there is a striking peninsula. On the south shore of the lake there is a camp and lead the national road 192 and the railway line Wismar -Karow past the lake. Almost the entire lakeshore is lined with a belt of reeds.
