Lucy Chaffer

Lucy Katherine Chaffer (* October 19, 1983 in Subiaco) is an Australian Skeleton pilot.

Lucy Chaffer lives in Perth and studied at the Notre Dame Australia. She is coached by Terry Holland and Duff Gibson. Chaffer was discovered in 2006 at talent excretions of Skeleton Federation of Australia. In November 2006 she took part in her first race of Calgary as part of the Skeleton America's Cup and became the 14th debuted in late 2007, the New Zealander in Skeleton Intercontinental Cup. In her first race, she was 16 at the Combined ice rink in Koenigssee. In the following years, she moved repeatedly between America and Continental Cup. The results were usually reach 12 to 18 In November 2008, Chaffer in Calgary in ninth for the first time a top- ten finish in the America's Cup in the ranks. In February, she was inducted into Park City in the last two races of the season 2008/ 09 in Skeleton World Cup and reached the 20th place on both occasions. In November 2009 she won the first Skeleton America's Cup in Lake Placid, an international race.

In the season 2010/11 Chaffer debuted in the World Cup, she took part in all races and always placed between place 12 and 20, in the World Cup she was 14. During the World Cup in Koenigssee, they reached number 15
