Luding County

The Luding county ( Tib: lcags zam, Tibetan: . ལྕགས་ཟམ་, Cagsam, Chinese泸定 县, Pinyin Luding Xiàn ), named after the iron bridge located there, belongs to the Autonomous District Garzê of Tibetans in the Chinese province of Sichuan. Luding has an area of ​​2165 km ² and 80,000 inhabitants ( end of 2004). At the census in 2000 were still counted 77,855 inhabitants.

The iron chain bridge, Tib: lcags zam, since 1961 is on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China ( 1-22).
