Ludo Dielis ( born February 23, 1945 in Deurne (Antwerpen) ) is a Belgian Carambolagespieler.

Life

Together with Jos Vervest (2 x World Champion in the Cadre 47/2 ), he started at the age of 11 years Billard Palace in Antwerp with the billiard game. His parents opened five years later, he was 16, a pool hall where he trained with his father and Vervest.

1977 Dielis was 22 years when he married Diane loving with whom he has been dating today. Together they have a son.

Among his pupils was including the double world champion in three-band, Eddy Merckx.

Career

When Billiards Club Altijd Raak, where also played his father, then he started his career. Because he was his father decided to send him to the former world champion Jos Vervest to training better quickly. At age 17, he qualified for the first time for an international tournament. It was the European Junior Championships in Berlin. And on December 16, 1962 his first international success was perfect. He was European Junior champion in single combat ( Free game & Balk-Line 47 /2). Third in this tournament the Berlin Dieter Müller. At age 21, he reached the honors class in Belgium in all disciplines. This has not yet managed Belgian billiard players in front of him. In the same year he became Belgian champion for the first time. It was in the cover. Three years later it was back in Berlin where he won his first international title at senior level. In the Pentathlon World Championships he won ahead of his compatriot Raymond Ceulemans and Dieter Müller. In May 1971, the first European titles followed in his specialist discipline cover. In the Pentathlon Championships in his hometown of Deurne in April 1973 he set a world record series ( prolonged ) of 2010 points, the record is, as well as the average of 217.00, valid until today (Jan 2013). At the age of 55 years Ludo Dielis finished his pool career in 2000.

Dielis is the organizer of the three-band World Cup in October 2013 in his hometown of Antwerp. He also sat several times in the jury of the Artistic Snooker World Cup (Trick Shot), which was organized by Barry Hearn and Frans van Dijck in Antwerp.
