Ludovisi (rione of Rome)

Ludovisi is the XVI. Rione (neighborhood ) in Rome. It lies on the southern slopes of the Pincio.

History

1886 sold the Prince of Piombino, the sprawling Villa Ludovisi at the city of Rome, which docked a new residential area there. It is crossed by the famous Via Veneto.

Coat of arms

The coat of arms, which corresponds to the Boncompagni - Ludovisi family, shows a dragon and three diagonal golden stripes.
