Ludwig Hain

Ludwig Friedrich Theodor Hain ( born July 5, 1781 Stargard, † June 27, 1836 in Munich) was a writer, editor and bibliographer Encyclopedia of incunabula.

Life and work

Ludwig Hain was since 1812 in Leipzig served as editor of the Brockhaus'schen Conversation lexicon. Then he lived until his death as a private scholar in Munich.

In addition to some translations he left behind a particular Inkunabelverzeichnis the repertory Bibliographicum whose first part he published in 1826; the second to fourth part were published posthumously in 1838. grove grabbed at his recording of " incunabula " or incunabula back to the Munich-based stocks.
