Luigi Baccio del Bianco

In Spain also called Luigi Baccio del Bianco Bartolomeo del Blanco ( born October 31, 1604 Florence, † July 1657 in Madrid) was an Italian painter, draftsman, engineer, stage designer and architect of the baroque.

He was from 1621 to 1620 pupil of Giovanni Bilivert and a pupil of Giulio Parigi. 1622 he went to Vienna as an assistant to Giovanni Pieroni since Galliano ( 1586-1654 ) and then to Prague, where he painted frescoes, among others, in Wallenstein Palace. He did not stay long and returned via Milan in 1625 back to Florence. 1651, he went to Spain, originally as a theater decorator. There he was known as Bartolomeo del Blanco and died 1657th

He is not with the architect Bartolomeo Bianco (1590-1657) from Como, architect of several town houses in Genoa, be confused.
