Luigi Lavazza

Luigi Lavazza ( born April 24, 1859 in Murisengo; † August 16, 1949 ) was an Italian entrepreneur. He is the founder of 1895 resulting in Turin coffee Lavazza Group.

The company's origins date back to the Lavazza 1895 when he bought the small grocery store Paissa Olivero in Turin for about 26,000 Italian lire. Lavazza owed ​​his fortune to the idea of ​​different types of coffee in only a single level of quality to sell.

He had 7 children. As Lavazza in 1936 retired, took his three sons, Mario, Beppe and Pericle the company. He died in 1949.
