Luigi Pasinetti

Luigi Lodovico Pasinetti ( born September 12, 1930 in Zanica, Bergamo ) is an Italian economist who is best known for his contributions to the theory of capital and growth theory.

Pasinetti completed his studies in 1954 at the Catholic University of Milan and studied afterwards at Harvard University and in England at the universities of Oxford and Cambridge. After receiving his doctorate in 1962 in Cambridge, he taught economic theory. From 1977 he held a chair of econometrics at the Catholic University of Milan.
