Luigi Rovati

Luigi Rovati (* November 24, 1904 in Cinisello Balsamo, † March 8, 1989 ) was an Italian boxer in the heavyweight division and silver medalist at the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.

In May 1932 he won the 4 Nations tournament in Berlin and started in August at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles, where he went after two byes equal to the semi-finals and there defeated the Americans Frederick Feary on points. In the final match he defeated Argentina's Santiago Lovell on points and thus reached with just one win, 2nd place in the heavyweight division.

From 1933 to 1937 he played four pro fights in Austria, Switzerland and Germany. In his last of these battles he lost by KO in the first round against Adolf Witt.
