Luís Filipe Vieira

Luís Filipe Vieira Ferreira ( born June 22, 1949 in Lisbon ) is a Portuguese businessman and the president of the Lisbon sports club Benfica Lisbon, the largest with more than 235,000 members of the football club in the world.

On 3 November 2003 Luís Filipe Vieira was first elected as the 33rd President of Benfica and re-elected in 2005 and 2009. Upon assuming office, the beginning he had promised the club to erect new and was one of the key leaders in the construction of the Estádio da Luz, A Catedral, the Cathedral as they say everywhere in Benfica jargon in Portugal. The construction of the new training ground in Seixal heard in his tenure. 2006 and 2009 he was re-elected as president.

During his tenure, the first team of the football club reached several titles, including championships 2004/2005 and 2009/2010, the Taça de Portugal 2003/2004 and the League Cup in the years 2008/2009, 2009/2010, 2010/2011 and 2011/212.
