Luís Galego

Luís Galego ( born April 25, 1966 in Porto, Portugal) is a Portuguese chess grandmaster. He has now represented his country at 11 Chess Olympiads, since 2002 each on top board. He was awarded the GM title by FIDE in 2002.

His highest Elo rating was 2543 (April 2006). With a current Elo rating of 2482 (November 2011) he still is but No. 1 on the Portuguese ranking.

Galego was Portuguese 's singles champion in 1994, 2002, 2004 and 2005.
