LuÃs Mendes de Vasconcellos
Fra ' Luis Mendez de Vasconcellos (* 1543 in Évora, † March 7, 1623 in Valetta ) was the 55th Grand Master of the Order of Malta in Malta.
He was born the son of a Portuguese nobleman Francisco Mendes de Vasconcelos and his wife Isabel Pais de Oliveira, Evora.
He entered the Order of Malta and a member of the Castilian tongue of the Order. After the Grand Master Alof de Wignacourt had died on 14 September 1622, he was elected on September 17, as his successor. He held office for only six months before he died in March 1623.
