Luisenburg (Harz)

The Luisenburg was a 1728-1945 existent pleasure palace at Blankenburg in the Harz (Saxony -Anhalt).

NN ) south above the castle Blankenburg built as a vantage point for Christine Duchess Luise of Brunswick in 1728 and named after her. It concerned it is a single-storey timber-framed building with an octagonal hall, which was surrounded by eight small rooms. Due to disrepair, the building was demolished in 1945. Today, the existing remains of the outer walls and the Stairways foreshadow the former appearance of the building.

The ruin Luisenburg is included as No. 77 in the system of stamp locations of the Harz hiking pin. The stamp box depends on the place of the former Luisenburg in a covered picnic area.
