Lukas Heller

Lukas Heller ( born 1930 in Kiel, † November 2, 1988 in London ) was a German screenwriter.

Life

Lukas Heller emigrated as a child with his parents to England. After several attempts to gain a foothold in various professions, he came to the film. His first significant contribution were additional dialogues for the film The Girl Sapphire, directed by Basil Dearden. After the success of the psychological thriller What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? Heller was especially true this genre, but also wrote the book for the adventure film The Flight of the Phoenix by Robert Aldrich. Internationally known Heller was especially with the screenplay for the war film The Dirty Dozen. The later works are little worth mentioning. His son, Bruno Heller is also a screenwriter.
