Lukas Resetarits

Lukas Resetarits (actually Erich Lukas Resetarits; born October 14, 1947 in Stinatz ) is an Austrian cabaret artist and actor from Vienna.

Life and work

Lukas Resetarits graduated in Vienna in 1965 and studied psychology and philosophy.

In 1975 he joined the cabaret group KEIF consisting of Wolfgang Teuschl, Erwin Steinhauer, Alfred Rubatschek and Erich Demmer, at. In 1976, he appeared as an actor in the proles Passion, a large-scale production of political rock band butterflies as part of the Vienna Festival. In 1977, he joined together with Teuschl and Steinhauer on the television cabaret Tu felix Austria. In the same cast followed in 1978, the television cabaret You will still may ask. On October 26, 1977 his first solo program Right Center Left celebrated in the concert hall basement premiere in May 1978, the second solo program followed A crisis muass ago.

In the same year Resetarits played the male lead role in the TV movie with heart and soul, directed by Käthe Kratz. In 1979 he released his first LP An Evening with Luke Resetarits. In addition, he wrote the book for the ORF contribution weekend in Vienna for the television festival in Montreux in which he also played the lead role. At the beginning of the 1980s, he took over from Franz Buchrieser the role as the main character in the television series Kottan determined by Helmut Zenker and Peter Patzak. As a grumpy police Major Adolf Kottan he identified in the episodes 6-19 of the satirical thriller series.

2007 wrote Lukas Resetarits America, a music program with original pieces by Randy Newman and own intermediate texts, accompanied by the ladies quartet " StringFizz " and Robert Kastler. This tribute to the poet and composer Newman found once each in Vienna and Graz. The two ORF productions from 2007, the film The Black Lion and the five-part series FC back pass, themed football Regional. 2010 took over Lukas Resetarits once again the Kottan role in the movie for the series Kottan determined: Rien ne va plus.

Resetarits has two daughters, Martina and Kathrin Resetarits. The latter worked with her father along its programs since 1999. Lukas Resetarits is the brother of Willi Resetarits, formerly known as Kurt Eastern Railway, and Peter Resetarits. Resetarits is a member of the Society for Political Enlightenment.
