Luke Matthew Fitzgerald ( * September 13, 1987 in Dublin) is an Irish rugby union player who plays for the Irish national team and the province of Leinster. It is used on the inner positions three quarters, wings and full goalkeeper.

Fitzgerald played for the first time in September 2006 for Leinster. In the same year he also gave his international debut against the Pacific Islanders. In June 2007, followed by another operation against Argentina, but he missed the nomination for the squad for the World Cup 2007. At the November internationals in 2008 he conquered a regular place in the national team and came in all the games in the Grand Slam win at the Six Nations 2009 deployment. On 21 April 2009, he was nominated by Ian McGeechan for the tour of the British and Irish Lions to South Africa. With Leinster he won the 2009 Heineken Cup.

Fitzgerald's father Des was also national player and played among others at the World Championships in 1987 and 1991.
