Luminance HDR

Luminance HDR - previously Qtpfsgui - is a graphic software for creating and editing high- dynamic-range images. It is released under the GPL and for the operating systems Linux, Windows, Mac OS X ( Intel only) available. Luminance HDR supports multiple high-dynamic- range (HDR) - as well as low- dynamic-range (LDR ) file formats.

Operation

The fundamental requirement of HDR photography are digital images of different exposure. This superimposes Luminance HDR and calculated from them a picture with high contrast. Thus, it can be displayed on standard computer screens, Luminance HDR converts this using various methods available for selection ( color figure) into a displayable LDR image format.

A common problem is that the serving as the base images must be perfectly aligned over each other. For static subjects can be ensured with the help of a tripod or a stable storage of the camera. Want to work with image data that can not be exactly reproduce the same, the program offers the function to align the images above each other. An automatic alignment is built on the Hugin project. If this automatic not deliver the desired result, but can also be manually modified.
