Lund Chamber Choir

The Lunder Chamber Choir ( Sw: Lund Chamber Choir, English:. Lund Chamber Choir ) is a mixed choir from the southern Swedish city of Lund. The choir was founded in 1983 by Eva Bohlin Svanholm launched, and for a long time, the choir was attached to the cathedral school in Lund. Nowadays, however, the choir is completely independent, but acts as a representation of the choirs of the cathedral at Lund. Eva Svanholm Bohlin led the choir until 1983 Between 1984 and 2011 the choir of Håkan Olsson Reising was conducted.; 2011 started off with the choir Daniel Åberg as its new conductor.

The Repertoirschwerpunkt the choir is on a cappella music from all eras, from the Renaissance to the present. Occasionally the choir leads to larger orchestral works such as Mozart's Requiem and Handel's Messiah. The latter was, for example, from the Lunder Chamber Choir in 2009 at Trinity Church on Sloane Street in London listed along with soloists and the orchestra of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

Since its inception, the Lunder Chamber Choir has performed tours in Europe, Asia and the USA and also successfully participated in various choral competitions. 2006 toured the choir as the only foreign choir at the national meeting of the American Choral Directors Association in Saint Louis. Among other things, the Lunder Chamber Choir has given concerts in Stockholm (2007), Torrevieja in Spain (2009) and at Oxford and London ( 2009).
