Lutz Fleischer

Lutz Fleischer ( born 1956 in Dresden) is a German painter, printmaker and object artist.

Life

After an apprenticeship as Offsetretuscheur he attended night school at the Academy of Fine Arts in Dresden. Thereafter, he attended a self-taught. In addition, he worked as a salesman, fireman, gardener, warehouseman and restorer before it from 1981 exclusively dedicated to the art.

Together with Petra box and Andreas Hegewald he founded in 1983 and 1996 Leitwolfverlag the keychain publisher who specialized in artistically valuable editions. He participated in numerous artist books, worked on editions of the upper grave with the press and published articles in the art magazines Clochart and Bizarre cities. During this time he worked intensively with visual poetry. In 1991 he founded together with Sigrid Walther and Thomas Haufe the gallery Blue factory in Dresden. Fleischer had numerous solo exhibitions in Dresden, Berlin, Leipzig, Rossendorf, Graz, Ulm, Frankfurt / Main, Munich and Cologne.

Him the Hans Theo Richter Prize of the Saxon Academy of Arts was awarded in 2005.

Lutz Fleischer lives and works in Dresden -Neustadt.
