Lutz Lindemann

Lutz Lindemann ( born July 13, 1949 in Halberstadt ) is a former German football player and coach.

Stations as a player

Lutz Lindemann played in his youth in construction / Empor Halberstadt and 1.FC Magdeburg. In 1967 he moved to Motor Nordhausen and so finally came in 1971 to FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt. There he played until 1977, until he moved to the Thuringian rivals FC Carl Zeiss Jena, where he played until his retirement in late 1981 and his greatest success.

In the GDR Oberliga Lindemann played 205 games and scored 42 goals. On September 7, 1977, he was 1-0 against Scotland in Berlin his debut for the national football team of the GDR. Three years later he graduated in Leipzig against Spain (0-0 ) his last international game. Overall, he wore the jersey 21 times of the GDR national team, scoring two goals. With the Jenaern he reached the final of the 1981 European Cup Winners' Cup, which lost the Thuringian the Rhine in Dusseldorf Stadium with 1-2 against Dinamo Tbilisi.

Stations as a coach and manager

After his playing career Lutz Lindemann began a coaching career. He made his debut 1982/83 during the DDR -Liga Motor Movers Hermsdorf. He did not make the league and joined the 1983/84 season for DDR League rookie progress Weida. Even with Weida rose Lindemann of post again, but could continue to work with the team and led them in 1987 again in the DDR -Liga. In July 1989, he returned to Jena, where he assumed the role of team leader. From 1992 to 1995, Lindemann coach at FC Erzgebirge Aue and then Manager of the violets. After the sacking of Ralf Minge he also took over from April 1996 to June 1998 again as coach in Aue. From July 1998 to 2003 Lindemann was active only as a manager at FC Erzgebirge Aue. 2004-2006 Lindemann was manager at Halle FC and was there since then for seven months and trainer.

Since January 28, 2007 Lindemann served as Sports Director in Jena. From January to June 2008 worked Lutz Lindemann then as Chief Scout of FC Carl Zeiss Jena. On 1 July 2008, the club parted from him.

On 24 September 2009 Lindemann was presented as " a board member with responsibility youth work" at the NRW -division club Sportfreunde Siegen. As of October 29, 2009 Lindemann was responsible for the complete range of the athletic sports fans, on March 29, 2010, he took over as acting also the post of CEO. After four years in the winning country he ended his employment there in the summer of 2013. For 2013/14 season he was athletic director of the division side FC Viktoria 1889 Berlin. On April 4, 2014 Lindemann was confirmed as the new president of FC Carl Zeiss Jena.
