Lynnville is a town in Jasper County in the U.S. state of Iowa in the United States. According to the census of 2000 the city had 366 inhabitants. The area of the town is 1.6 square kilometers.

Rail transport

Lynnville was connected by a four- kilometer-long railway line ( Lynnville Branch) to the rail network. The branch line branched off from the train track New Sharon Newton ( Newton Branch). These rail lines were completed on November 1, 1882 by the Chicago, Burlington and Pacific Railroad. The railway lines in 1962, now owned by the Minneapolis and St. Louis Railroad, shut down.
