Lyttelton Range

The Lyttelton Range ( German Lyttelton Mountains ) is a narrow, northwest-trending mountain range to the south of the Dunedin Range is located in the Admiralty Mountains of Antarctica. The mountain is 26 km long and forms the western boundary of the upper part of Dennistoun Glacier.

The chain in the years 1960 to 1963 was mapped by the USGS after research and aerial photos of the U.S. Navy. It was designated by the U.S. ACAN after the port city of Lyttelton in New Zealand, where over the years many expedition ships auffrischten their supplies on the way to the Antarctic; also the kindness and cooperation of its citizens has been honored with the American research team.
