MacDonald Taylor, Sr.

MacDonald Taylor ( born August 27, 1957 in Trinidad and Tobago) is a former football player from the U.S. Virgin Islands. He played on the position of the defender for the national football team the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Taylor holds the record for the oldest player to ever participated in a World Cup qualifier. In the 0:7 defeat in the qualifying match for the FIFA World Cup 2006 against the national team of St. Kitts and Nevis, which took place in Basseterre on 31 March 2004, he was 46 years and 217 days old. Already on 18 February 2004 in the first leg, he had set the pre-existing age record.
