Maciej Konacki

Maciej Konacki ( * 1972 in Toruń, Poland) is a Polish astronomer who was known by the supposed discovery of an extrasolar planet around HD 188753 A. However, the discovery could not withstand subsequent investigations.

Training

Konacki received the Master of Science Astronomy at the University of Torun in 1996. Four years later he received the Ph. D. also there. Since 2006 he is an associate professor at the Nicolaus Copernicus Centre of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Toruń.
