Madelein Svensson

Madeleine Svensson ( born July 20, 1969 in Sollefteå ) is a former Swedish race walker.

The greatest success of her career, she celebrated by winning the silver medal in the 10 kilometers race walk at the World Athletics Championships 1991 in Tokyo. She reached the target with a very narrow lead on the third placed Sari Essayah that was stopped at the same time with 43:13 minutes.

At the Olympic Games in Barcelona in 1992, she took over 10 km sixth. She also competed at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in 1993 partly in Toronto, where she was eighth over 3000 m.

Madeleine Svensson had a competition weight of 52 kg at a height of 1.68 m.
