Geographical location

The cock rises as part of the Kassel basin in the west Hessian Depression immediately north of the core of the village of Holzhausen, through which the small Eder inflow of pilgrims stream flows. Castle story

At the tap of the Hessian Gaugraf Werner to IV († 1121 ), the width- founded the monastery in 1113, have built a castle around 1100.
