Magdaléna Vášáryová

Magda Vášáryová (also Magdalena Vášáryová, sometimes in older German sources Magda Vásáry, born August 26, 1948 in Banská Štiavnica, Czechoslovakia) is a Slovak actress and politician.

Life

Vášáryová is the younger sister of Emília Vášáryová, the actress was also. My acting talent was discovered early. At sixteen, she got her first starring movie role. After graduating in 1966, she studied sociology, her studies at the Comenius University in Bratislava, she joined in 1971. As had worsened in the years after the suppression of the Prague Spring, the political climate in Czechoslovakia, she did not want to work as a sociologist and remained actress. Already during her studies she had made ​​several films. She next starred in smaller theaters, and later at the Slovak National Theatre in Bratislava. She also starred in many films. In the first half of the 1980s she paused after the birth of two children.

After the Velvet Revolution in 1990 Ambassador of Czechoslovakia into Austria in the spring. She remained there until 1995, next she was initially in some roles in theater acting. Later, however, she was particularly politically active. Magda Vášáryová was a candidate in the presidential election in Slovakia in 1999 and came here for a " civil society " a.
