Magdanly (Russian Магданлы, formerly Gowurdak / Говурдак ) is a city in the east of Turkmenistan. Magdanly located in the province Lebap and 2009 had nearly 65,000 inhabitants.

The city is located at the foothills of the Kugitangtau Mountains and is about 260 kilometers south-east from the city Turkmenabad. The city is connected by a railway line with Atamurat and Termes. In Magdanly find there is fertilizer industry, also sulfur is recovered in the city.

The number of inhabitants increased from just over 23,000 residents in 1991 to almost 65,000 in 2009. 2002, by then known as Gowurdak city was renamed in Magdanly.
