Magnús Einarsson
Magnús Einarsson (* 1098, † September 30, 1148 ) was a bishop of Skálholt in southern Iceland.
He was elected after the death of Thorlákur Runólfsson 1133 and consecrated on October 28, 1134 by Ossur, the archbishop of Lund in Sweden.
Act as Bishop
Under his aegis Skálholt flourished. He amassed wealth and bought large estates added, including the total Westman Islands.
Death
When he came back from a trip to the Westfjords in 1148, he made a stopover in Hítardalur to attend a party. He got into a major fire, in which died between 70 and 80 people, and also died.
