Mahdi Karim

Mahdi Karim Adschil (Arabic مهدي كريم عجيل, DMG Mahdi Karīm ʿ Aǧīl; born December 10, 1983 in Baghdad ) is an Iraqi football player. Karim belongs since 2001 to the cadres of the Iraqi national team.

Career

He began his career in 1995 at the Iraqi Al Shorta, in 1999 moved to Al Naft and played from 2002 to 2005 at Al Talaba. His first overseas duty from 2005 to 2008 in Libya with Al Ahly Tripoli before he signed a contract with the Qatari Al -Khor Sports Club first division, where he played on the right wing of the midfield. After one season, he returned to Iraq, and signed at the current champions FC Arbil.

With the Iraqi national team, he was 2007 Asian champion and participated in the Olympic football tournament in 2004 and the Confederations Cup 2009.
