Mainz (electoral district)

The federal electoral district of Mainz ( 2005: Constituency 207, 2009: Constituency 206) since 1949, a constituency in Rhineland- Palatinate. It includes the state capital Mainz and the Mainz-Bingen district which combined free communities Bingen am Rhein, Bude home and Ingelheim am Rhein and the Association of Municipalities Gau- Algesheim, Heidenheim am Rhein, Nieder-Olm, Rhein-Nahe and Sprendlingen gene Ingen.

The 2013 federal election was held on Sunday, September 22, 2013, instead.

There were 14 parties in Rhineland -Palatinate nationwide against each other. This was decided by the National Election Committee at a public meeting on July 26, 2013 in Mainz. To ensure that all parties were given an authorization that had timely filed their country lists and other documents until July 15.

The order of the approved country lists on the ballot is initially guided by the number of second votes that has reached the respective party at the last general election in the country ( list positions 1-10): CDU, SPD, FDP, Alliance 90/The Greens, The Left, Pirate Party, NPD, The Republicans, ODP and MLPD. New nominee lists include in alphabetical order of their names on ( list positions 11-14): Alternative for Germany, civil rights movement per Germany, CDU, and the Party of reason.

Also on July 26 met the district election committee chaired by the Returning Officer Michael Ebling, Mayor of Mainz, in this session, ten direct candidates and candidates were admitted, including Barbara Spahn, the candidate only as direct candidates for the civil rights movement solidarity, because the party does not country list has set.
