MaisÃ
Maisí is the easternmost city and the easternmost municipality of Cuba.
Maisí is a city and a municipality in the extreme eastern Cuba and belongs to the province of Guantánamo. The administrative headquarters of the Municipalities is not Maisí, but the greater La Máquina. In the field of Municipalities is the easternmost point of Cuba - the " Punta Maisí ". In pre-colonial times called the Taíno this place " Baitiquiri ".
Geography
The municipality Maisí has a total area of 523.31 km ². It is surrounded to the north, east and south by the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean. The municipality of Baracoa forms the north-western, Imias the southwest border.
Traffic
Maisí is reached by a small road that leads to the north and the south in the mountain pass of La Farola and thus in the highway Carretera Central.
