Major Parkinson
Major Parkinson is a Norwegian musical group, the genre of alternative rock can be assigned.
History
Major Parkinson was founded in 2003 by Jon Ivar Kollbotn, Eivind Gammersvik, André Lund and Jan Are Rønhovde. That same year they won several awards in her hometown of Bergen.
Producer Sylvia Massy (System of a Down, Tool, Johnny Cash, Red Hot Chili Peppers ) discovered Major Parkinson 2006 on Myspace. In Los Angeles they took together on the self-titled debut album in the Radio Star Studios, which was released in 2008 and in the local media got good reviews.
Two years later, the largely self- produced album was followed by Songs from a Solitary Home. This was followed by an extensive tour that led the Norwegians to Germany. Beginning of 2014 appears the third album Twilight Cinema, which was partially funded by a crowdfunding project and started for the single releases in the fall of 2013. Parallel launched the release tour.
