Malachi Throne

Malachi Throne ( born December 1, 1928 in New York City, New York, † March 13, 2013 ) was an American character actor.

Life

Malachi Throne was a popular guest star in many television series of the 1960s and 1970s and, together with Robert Wagner co-star of the series It Takes a Thief ( It Takes a Thief ). He also acted in the series Hogan's Heroes as Major Pruhst.

Throne played in two two -part episodes of two different Star Trek series with. In Star Trek, he played Commodore José Mendez subsequently Talos IV - Taboo ( The Menagerie ); in Star Trek: The Next Generation he played Pardek, a Romulan senator, in the wake reunion? ( Unification ). He also appeared in the second episode of Star Trek fan series Star Trek: New Voyages in 2004, in which he portrayed a Klingon.

One of his most remarkable roles was the villain False Face in the television series Batman. False Face used various disguises to cover up his crimes, and was otherwise a semi-transparent mask. The mask meant that the throne real face was no longer recognizable. Taking advantage of this effect, but against the wishes of the throne, gave the producers in the credits? as False Face on. While this matched the camp style of the show, however throne was brought to its assessment.

In an episode of the science fiction television series Babylon 5, Malachi Throne represented the Prime Minister of the People Centauri dar.

Malachi Throne last lived in Southern California, where he worked as a theater actor.
