Malaysia national football team

The Malaysian national football team is the national team of Malaysia. The Football Asociacion of Malaysia is the Football Association. This was established in 1933 and joined FIFA in 1956. The first international match completed the team in 1953 as a selection of up to 1957 by the UK -based Federation of Malaya. Since 1963, the team represents the extended state to North Borneo Malaysia.

The team has yet been able to qualify for any World Cup. 1976, 1980 and 2007, Malaysia qualified for the Asia Cup, but failed each in the first round.

After the first qualifier for the Asian Cup in 2011 against the Arab Emirates in February 2009 as Sathianathan coach was fired. He is succeeded by K. Rajagobal.

Participation in the Olympic Games

After 1988, the national team has not participated in the Olympics and the qualifying matches to do so. Been an Olympic team could not qualify.
