Malaysian Special Branch

Malaysian Special Branch ( Cawangan Khas ) is an intelligence agency of Malaysia and belongs to the Malaysian police, Polis Diraja Malaysia.

Structure

Malaysian Special Branch had originally the Special Branch of the United Kingdom as a model. The departments of the intelligence service are:

• Social Enlightenment
• Outer Enlightenment
• Political Enlightenment
• Economic Enlightenment
• Security intelligence
• Management
• Secretariat and analysis

Activities

Raja Petra Kamarudin, a former prisoner has said: It is amazing that they have been able to make all these pictures of me without that I would have noticed it. I've started to wonder if they had other pictures of me and my wife when ... Uh, you know. It was as if they had been present in the conference room, took part in the meeting and the entire session had recorded on tape.

He has also said that Malaysian Special Branch have successfully infiltrated the hierarchy of various political parties in the country.
