MÃ¥lilla

Målilla is a place ( tätort ) in the Swedish province of Kalmar County, the historical province of Småland. The place is located in the municipality of Hultsfred.

History

Was first mentioned under the name of the place Malhella 1329, which means " meeting place at Stone Mountain."

Traffic

The place had formerly a railway station where the railway line Sävsjö - Målilla branched off from the railway line Nässjö - Oskarshamn. After the abandonment of the maintenance people is only a freight shipment.

Attractions

Målilla has a Bandymannschaft that Målilla GoIF Bandy, a motor open-air exhibition and a football club. A big event also is the speedway where Målilla maintains its own team, the Dackarna. On June 14, 2014 is part of the Speedway World Championship Individual Speedway World Championship Grand Prix of Sweden in Malilla instead.
