Mandy Niklaus

Mandy Nicholas ( born March 1, 1956 in Dresden, born Mandy Dick) is a former German foil fencer.

Niklaus attended school in Dresden and was educated at the German College of Physical Education to graduate sports teacher in the port. They fought for the SC Dynamo Berlin and was between 1976 and 1983 four times GDR champion in foil.

At the Olympic Games in 1980 Niklaus covered with the foil team eighth. In 1982, she won at the World Championships in Rome with a bronze medal in foil individual, the first world championship medal for the GDR in fencing at all.

Their son André Niklaus is decathlete.
