Manfred Kallenbach

Manfred Kallenbach ( born April 8, 1942 in Dresden, † April 21, 2010 ibid ) was soccer goalie in the GDR Oberliga. In the top East German league he played for the SG Dynamo Dresden and the BSG Stahl Riesa. With Dynamo Dresden he was twice East German champion in 1971 and won the East German soccer cup.

Dynamo Dresden

Kallenbach began his athletic career as a handball goalkeeper at Dresdner Sports Association unit Dresden South. In 1960 he transferred as a football goalkeeper for SG Dynamo Dresden and went through there all the youth teams. After he had completed schooling, he completed an apprenticeship as a decorative painter. As in 1966, the end of the league race of the tribe goalkeeper Peter Noske apparent, took coach Manfred Fuchs 24-year old Kallenbach in the league team and set it between 19 and 23 Oberliga Gameday as a goalkeeper. His first league Match of Kallenbach on 19 March 1966 in the match FC Karl- Marx-Stadt - Dynamo Dresden (1:2). After Noske had retired for the season 1966/67, from the premier league team, Kallenbach was promoted to the first team goalkeeper and finished the season 25 of the 26 discharged point games. 1968 rose Kallenbach with Dynamo Dresden from out of the league. In the subsequent season in the second-rate DDR -Liga in 1968/69 he was replaced by Peter Meyer as goalkeeper and came only five of the 30 point games used. After Dresden had managed an immediate return to the Oberliga, Kallenbach was also in the new league season 1969/70 only reserve goalkeeper behind Meyer, but came in the second half still to ten point stakes. Since Meyer was excreted in the spring of 1970 from the league team, Kallenbach was for 1970/71 season his place in dynamotor back, which he was careful in all 26 league matches. At the end of the season he had won with his team the East German football championship and was also on 2 June 1971, yet Cup winner after a 2-1 victory over the BFC Dynamo. 1971/72 played 16 league games Kallenbach, but was superseded by the 18th Round of 20 -year-old Claus floor. This took over from 1972/73 the regular place in Dresdner Tor, and Kallenbach only came once more on matchday as a substitute for use. It was his last of a total of 105 league appearances for Dynamo Dresden, and he had participated in five European games Dresdner. He could be a second time to decorate with the GDR Champion title, the Dynamo won again in 1973 through its short-term use.

Stahl Riesa

At the beginning of the 1973/74 season Kallenbach moved to Oberliga Up Stahl Riesa. But even in Riesa he did not come beyond the reservists role and was clearly in the shadow of the root goalkeeper Wolfgang Scharf. In 1973/74 was Kallenbach ten times in Riesa Gate, 1974/75 in only two league games. After the completion of this season of the now 33 -year-old ended his football career. With twelve Riesaer Oberliga missions he had come to 117 first division matches within ten years.
