Manfred Kupferschmied
Manfred coppersmith ( born November 20, 1941 in Brüx, Sudetenland ) was soccer player in the DDR - Oberliga for the SC activist Brieske - Senftenberg and the SC / FC Karl- Marx-Stadt. From 1971 he worked as a football coach in both the league and in the second-rate DDR -Liga.
Soccer player
After his family was expelled after the Second World War from North Bohemia, Manfred coppersmith grew up in the Lusatian town of White Water. In terms of sport, the city had since the 1930s East German stronghold of hockey. However, contrary to the trend coppersmith started playing football white water was ten years old at the Sports Association (SPA) chemicals. There he was trained as a midfielder and 1959 delegates SC activist Brieske - Senftenberg at the age of 17 years to the regional football focus.

Football coach
Even as Active coppersmith had purchased at the Leipzig Sport University DHfK the diploma as a football coach. Immediately after the end of his career as a football player, he took his team Energie Cottbus as a coach. What he failed as a player, he already succeeded in his second Coach of the Year. In 1973, he had led the energy behind did not rise legitimate 2nd team of the Berliner FC Dynamo in 2nd place in the League Season B, thus achieving promotion round to the Oberliga. At the beginning of the season 1982/83 he took over the training of local rivals Sachsenring Zwickau, who was also dissatisfied with his 12th place in the league the previous season. However, the team was in such a bad condition that even coppersmith the downward trend could not stop and had to descend to 26 point games in the East German league in the summer of 1983 after only two victories. 1983/84 was indeed Zwickau season winner, but missed as 4th in the promotion round to return to the Oberliga significantly. Then coppersmith had to vacate his place as coach again.
When then neither in the league still in DDR -Liga was a new coaching job for a coppersmith, soccer District Technical Committee Karl- Marx-Stadt in 1986 appointed him as a district trainer. In a similar function coppersmith worked after the introduction of the DFB gaming operation in East Germany as a state trainer for the Saxony Football Association until reaching retirement age. In October 2006, coppersmith, was elected to the board of Chemnitz FC, successor to the FC Karl- Marx-Stadt, where he was the transfer of responsibility for the sport.
