Manfred Ostermann

Manfred Ostermann ( born April 30, 1958 in Detmold ) is a German local politician (independent). He is since 2007, initially for eight years District Administrator of the Heide circle.

Life

After finishing high school in his hometown of Detmold and the basic military service Ostermann graduated in law in Passau and Göttingen. He was from 1990 to 2001 worked as a jurist in Güstrow in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern, where from 1994 also Deputy District Administrator. In 2002 he was first county council and General Representative of the district administrator in the district of Soltau -Fallingbostel. Following the death of District Administrator Hermann Söder in 2006 Ostermann took over the post at first provisionally and finally a candidate, supported by the launched alliance competence for SFA, which was closed by representatives of the SPD, Alliance 90/The Greens, the Civic Union and the Walsrode citizens list, for the office of the District Administrator. In the election on 14 January 2007, he sat down with 52.8 percent of the vote against its competitors by Karl- Ludwig von Danwitz (CDU) and Knut Maass (FDP).

Private

Ostermann is married and has four children.
