Manfred W. Jürgens

Manfred W. Jürgens ( born November 19, 1956 in Greve mills ) is a German painter, a representative of the New Realism.

Life

Jürgens spent his childhood and youth in Mecklenburg. After attending the Polytechnic High School, he was from 1973 to 1975 Able Seaman apprentice of DSR in Rostock and so had the opportunity to Sweden, the Netherlands and Cuba to travel. This is followed joined 1976-1986 an apprenticeship and time as a painter and glazier in Mecklenburg on.

From 1986 to 1989 Jurgens studied at the School of Advertising and Design in Berlin Communication Design with the deepening science graphic design and photography. Particular influence on his design language took his photography professor Manfred Paul. After graduation, he worked from 1989 to 1990 as a communication designer for Heinrich Dathe am Tierpark Berlin and from 1990 to 1993 in Cultural Management in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Since 1993, Jürgens has worked as a freelance painter and photographer.

Since 1997, Jürgens went on longer trips and more for England, Ireland, Switzerland, Italy, Sri Lanka, Taiwan and China. Jürgens presented his painting for the first time in 2001 at the Städtische Galerie tree house in Wismar. Since then, followed by exhibitions in cooling Born, Güstrow, Hamburg, Leipzig, Gstaad and Venice.

In 2007, Jürgens developed the concept of a picture exhibition.
